Grace and peace to everyone in this time of great transition! I am aware that my own sense of anxiety is very, very high and my prayers for all of us have been focused on peace, calm and flexibility. The week before last I was making a number of pastoral calls in hospitals, assisted living facilities and in the homes of folks who were not feeling well. So, with what I believe are some seasonal allergy related sniffles, I have tried to be extra-cautious in my physical contact with others. That being said, I truly appreciate an evolving use of terms and am embracing the difference between “physical distancing” and “social distancing.” Being united as One is finding many new meanings!
I have been working on and learning about what kinds of ministry options can be viable and are available. Clergy groups have been very supportive in helping one another. Two wonderful signs of God’s grace have been: 1) the church intentionally working together to ask questions, share successes and brainstorming possible ministries and 2) connecting more often with family and close friends.
Please check back. I will post the updated info when it is available each week.
